Maternity Reflexology Workshop

Pauline O Hagan has over 20 years experience as midwife, reflexologist and antenatal educator in Ireland. Pauline brings a fresh approach to Maternity Reflexology empowering reflexologists, by giving them the tools to treat their clients in full confidence.

She brings her many years experience to this One Day Course. It is an enjoyable day with plenty time given to practical practice.

The course includes fantastic techniques for all stages of pregnancy and home care for clients.

Course Aims.
• To educate the reflexologist on the normal course of pregnancy and
complications that can arise in each trimester.
• To build confidence in the reflexologist to treat pregnant women.
• To introduce the reflexologist to a fill range of complementary hints and tips
to make pregnancy, labour and birth more manageable for mother and to be
able to advice appropriately.

Course Content.
• Lifestyle and diet advice for pregnant clients
• Simple explanations of ailments in pregnancy and supportive measures in how
to relieve them.
• Progress of pregnancy and reflexes to focus on at each stage.
• Advice for optimal foetal positioning
• Reflexology for labour : sedating and stimulating techniques.
• Explanation of hormones involved in the process of labour
• Stages of labour and good labour positions
• Situations requiring immediate attention
