ABOUT PRECISION REFLEXOLOGY course:
Precision reflexology offers a way to connect to the subtle energy of the client. The technique used is called "linking", this connects to two, sometimes more, specific points on the feet (and hands) in order to establish a sense of equilibrium and balance. The contact is very light because the strength of the treatment lies in the energy and not in the physical pressure used. Even though Precision work uses light pressure, the therapeutic effects are powerful, both physically and emotionally. This intuitive style gives added insight into the holistic approach of reflexology, it gives power and precision to the therapy and it is a way of responding to the unique nature of each client. It can easily be adapted to all forms of reflexology and has been used extensively to develop skills for practitioners who wish to be integrated health care professionals. In turn, these skills can be passed on to clients in order to increase their confidence and awareness concerning health issues.
Jan Williamson is the director of The School of Precision Reflexology based in Devon, U.K. She is an experienced complementary health practitioner, yoga teacher and author. She teaches precision work extensively, both nationally and internationally. She has developed a unique approach to reflexology, using the Chakra system as a framework for treatment. She will demonstrate how this system can realistically be made relevant to all clients.
