Dear Members

Covid-19 government restrictions:

In consultation with the Government Health Service Executive it has been confirmed that under the terms of the Health and Social Care Professionals Act 2005 Section 4 reflexology is currently not a designated therapy and is therefore restricted under Level 5 with the exception of any specific case where reflexology is prescribed by a qualified medical practitioner.

The NRRI is emphatic in the importance of acting within the guidelines and urges its members to show professional restraint and respect the government guidelines which will allow a return to work at level 3.

Our policy is based on what is for the greater good and reinforces the professional status of our membership.

This is the NRRI position and it is not up for discussion.

We thank the members who have already been in contact with us in support of our policy.

Tomasz Stanczyk.
Registrar.
