We are really excited to introduce our brand new Mindfulness and Meditation course for complementary therapists in September.
We all know the Holistic Approach is the way forward in all our dealings. I love Reflexology and I think it is the best therapy because it works on balancing hormones, it stimulates the nervous system, works on the digestive system ( just to name a few benefits) and not many other therapies can do that so well. In the last year I have also appreciated Nutrition as a way of supporting the body with the right nutrients, However Reflexology and diet only work to a certain extent. The last piece of the puzzle and possibly the most important, our mind, has to be addressed and supported too if we want to reach balance and health that can last.
So here is why we are thrilled to be able to offer this Mindfulness and Mediation course to our students!
OUTLINE OF THE COURSE:
Title: Mindfulness and Meditation Course ( Accredited course) delivered over 12 weeks.
Mindfulness and meditation are exceptionally valuable tools for managing the toxic stress and anxiety that are pandemic in today's society. Despite originating in Eastern cultures, these practices continue to increase in popularity across the Western world because conventional approaches continue to fail and mental health continues to decline. The holistic approach to health recognises the importance of physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing. On-going scientific and observational evidence heavily supports the benefits of both mindfulness and meditation on all these aspects of health and healing.
This course is designed to give the student a comprehensive insight into the concepts, principles and techniques that underpin mindfulness and meditation practices. It is ideal for those wishing to incorporate stress management techniques into their complementary therapy and holistic healing practices. The course is also applicable to students without a complementary therapy background, who have an interest in the subjects of mindfulness and meditation and would like to learn more about these self-management strategies in order to cope with stress in their own daily lives.
By the end of the course, the student will:
• Learn how to cultivate gratitude, compassion and awareness.
• Learn how to self-manage stress and anxiety.
