Welcome aboard Aileen - New NRRI Trustee and Constitution!

At their first meeting of 2009 held on the 26th. January at the Greenhills Hotel in Limerick under the new NRRI Constitution, the NRRI Trustees marked the retirement of Maureen Connolly from the Board by awarding her the status of ‘trustee emeritus' in recognition of her contribution as a founder member of the NRRI and her work in its early development. 

It was further agreed to offer the vacancy created by Maureen Connolly's retirement to Aileen O'Connor, principal of the Academy of Reflexology in Limerick, and Board are pleased to announce her acceptance of that post.

The Board of Trustees now consists of Anthony Larkin (chairperson), Marie Therese Shelly, and Aileen O'Connor. As the NRRI Constitution allows for up to five members, there are currently two vacancies.

The Board meeting was followed by a meeting of NRRI accredited school Principals.

Apologies were received from Sr. Brega Whelan of the Beaumont Institute of Complementary Therapies, Dublin, Peter O'Donoghue of the Natural Healing Centre, Cork, and Orla Heneghan of the Solas School of Reflexology, Tuam.

A wide range of issues were discussed and it was agreed to meet again on Monday, 25th. May, commencing at the later time of 11.oo am. to allow for a Research Workshop at 9.30 am and a Trustees' Board Meeting at 10.30 am.
