COURSE INFO:
The workshops are based on evidence-based research and provide practitioners with
additional tools that they can use in their practice.
The aim is to help develop the knowledge base of reflexology practitioners
working with clients who are experiencing pain.
The content:
THEORY:
* Overview of neuro anatomy and physiology
* Outline of nociception
* Types of pain
* Psychological, physiological and behavioural responses to pain
* Pain assessment and pain assessment tools
Are there any pre-requisites for this workshop?
This workshop is open to fully qualified reflexologists who have a minimum of six months hands-on experience and hold an anatomy and physiology qualification. The workshop consists of both theory and practical elements and participants will be awarded a certificate of attendance as evidence of CPD for their portfolio.
Who will benefit from this workshop?
We have all worked with clients who experience pain at one time or another. This workshop will help practitioners who seek to advance their skill set, those who want to find ways of measuring the effectiveness of their reflex therapy when working with clients in pain and those seeking an introduction to the more advanced Nerve Reflex Therapy courses offered by Nico Pauly, MNT-NR International.
PRACTICE:
* Practitioners will learn some basic nerve reflex points for the two
most common pain complaints, back and neck pain.
* Learn how to use basic pain assessment tools for measuring the
effectiveness of their treatments.
